PREZ SEZ:

It has been a few months since you last read my Prez Sez narrative; I humbly apologize:

I’ll start by reminding you that on Saturday April 25 our monthly Club meeting was held at Ford’s garage at 10:30 AM.

On May 9, the Austin Healy Club has invited all of the British car clubs to join them for lunch at the Wobbly Whale between the hours of 12 and 3 pm. Any of you intending to join us in a caravan, or plan on going, please text or call Fred Woller (904) 608-6774 so that he may let the Healy club know approximately how many from our MG Classics will be joining them so they can inform the restaurant.

A few weeks ago the Wings & Wheels car show was held at the Saint Augustine regional Airport. Congratulations to Craig Greenhill for winning an award for the best interior.

On April 11 the All British Car Show was held in Sanford Florida. MG Classics was represented by Mike Hogan and Fred Woller who both took home third place awards in their respective categories.

The annual GOF-South was held in Titusville Florida in April hosted by the Orlando MG Club.

Best in Show: 1933 L1 Magna Silhouette
Mike & Lucy Hughes

Best From Abingdon (New Category):
1933 J2 Supercharged: Dan Lanier

Best TD: Bruce Sedelmeyer
1951 MGTD (Jack)

The GOF was a phenomenal success, with a dozen members from our own MG Classics attending this Annual Event.

Bruce Sedelmeyer’s 1951 MGTD won first place in the MGTD category: Congratulations Bruce.

Additional MG Classics Award Winners were Neil Nelson, Second Place with his MGB, and Jill Moore Second Place with her MGA. Well Done Neil and Jill.

The tweed drive to the PIG & Whistle restaurant was attended by 45 MGs in a caravan, and ending close to 100 members arriving for dinner at the restaurant.

Our Jacksonville Club will be hosting next year’s GOF. We are in the process of scouting out three or four different locations which will remain nameless at this time. Once a facility is identified we will call on a multitude of members to help execute the required work program.

The May meeting will be at Neil Nelson’s Compound, and be a short Tech Session and a BBQ. All members will be eMailed an Invitation to attend ten days prior to the event.

Your president – FRED – RED MGA
